Titan Antenna
paul|13-05-2015
I bought this antenna after looking at many others that are on the market. The problem I have is that I live on the side of a mountain in sunny Wales just under a 1000 feet above sea level and most of my garden is decking. This causes issues with grounding radials etc. Anyway the Titan arrived and was assembled in about half a day and mounted in a pole in the very small bit of grass that I have. Assembly was ok although I would say that the instructions supplied could be better presented with more detailed drawings. However the antenna is up and working. it does what it says it does on the description and SWR is very low on most of the bands it was designed for and there is no need to use an ATU. In fact GAP advise not to use an ATU. I will say that the antenna benefits from being guyed for extra stability. One of the problems I have is the very high winds that hit us here in sunny Wales so it needs to be guyed. This was on the recommendation of Richard and Paul. I will see how the antenna preforms. A special thanks to Richard and Paul at Martin Lynch and sons for their help and advice.
