The new Handie Talkie Headset (HTH), from Heil Sound, is a single-sided, lightweight headset designed for use with popular handheld transceivers. The HTH provides hands free and discreet two-way communication while maintaining the comfort necessary for extended use in moderate noise environments. It features a left or right ear adaptable earpiece and an in-line Push-to-Talk switch.
The HTH is being introduced with pin-outs for three handie talkies - iCom, Yaesu, and Kenwood/Baofeng - and plans are underway to offer additional models.
HTH-I: Works with 2-pin Icom
HTH-Y: Works with TRRS Yaesu/Vertex*
HTH-K: Works with 2-pin Kenwood, Baofeng, and Wouxun
*For the weather resistant Yaesu/Vertex such as the VX6R and VX7R please use the HTH-Y and a HTH-ADY adapter.
Hi, I reviewed this Mic some months ago and thought I would put an update out. I bought it for use with the FT2D because I found the edge of the battery case used to dig into my palm.
So here's the update... In use I found that I had to reduce the volume to 2 bars but more importantly without the headset I had my audio out at 9, This made people's speakers rattle. Reduce to No.6 and the audio was perfect. Great Mic. I still love it and nicely priced.

I recently bought the Heil HTH-Y from ML&S and I'm pleased to report excellent service the headset arrived before lunch the following day, I was please to find the Rx audio was excellent and I have had good reports on Tx. The Tx was deeper and rounder than that of the FTM-400. Well worth the price!..... Brian G0RDH
