The Yaesu M100 features a hybrid design integrating both a high-quality Condenser and Dynamic element.

The Condenser Microphone Element produces greater overall frequency response - with clear and crisp audio characteristics - while the Dynamic Microphone Element delivers enhanced low and mid-range frequency response. A set of one-touch buttons on the microphone base enable the two microphone elements to be used independently or in combinations to create the most favorable sound quality for each person’s unique voice characteristics.

Built-in Low-Cut (cut-off at 340Hz, -6dB/octave) and High-Cut (cut-off at 2kHz, -6dB/octave) controls shape the low/ high frequency responses enabling changes to be made in the transmitted audio characteristics, according to user’s preference and operating conditions.

The supplied TBC - Treble Boost Cowling (shown above left) further enhances the voice response attributes in the important 1,000 – 1,500 Hz range, in order to develop a penetrating signal with a condensed and specific texture. The PTT key actuates three Air-Cylinder Tubes, which afford a smooth and comfortable keystroke – free of a hard “click”. The incorporation of a magnetic switch ensures long-life and stable operation. The highly visible ON AIR LED Indicator clearly informs the user when the PTT circuit is active. The supplied microphone cable can be used to provide power to the M-100 simply by connecting with compatible Yaesu HF transceivers*. Current Yaesu HF radio owners can immediately start using this new microphone as an exciting and valuable addition to their current ham radio operation. Whether it’s for wider-range audio with more presence or focused energy to cut through the pile-ups, the M-100 is an exceptional station asset.

Supplied with: Microphone cable, Treble Boost Cowling (shown above right), Operating Manual and Warranty Card
* We will post a list of compatible Yaesu transceivers shortly.

M-100 - Ohhh my!
Firstly, lets talk about the elephant in the room - the price: It's expensive. But you get what you pay for in spades. It's absolutely superb. Connected to Yaesu FTdx10, no setting changed other than slight increase on the mic gain and got three unsolicited audio reports on 80m within 5 mins of putting out a call saying that the "audio was superb". The dual elements (condenser & dynamic) make a HUGE difference. Best of both worlds. It also just looks the part and Yeasu have FINALLY taken onboard comments made about PTT switches on earlier desktop microphones. The PTT switch on the M-100 is buttery smooth. Absolutely silent. A great microphone, and you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommended. Thanks again to Tony & team for the great service as usual.
M-100 Microphone
Having recently purchased a FTdx101MP I wanted to enjoy operating it with a desk microphone. Mark at ML&S kindly provided some excellent advice and I purchased this microphone. Very easy to configure, many other operators have provided details on the settings to consider on the 101D/MP to get the most out of the microphone. I have received excellent audio reports but importantly enjoyed operating with the microphone. The PTT is so smooth. I would highly recommend this microphone to anyone who wants to move away from a hand microphone even though the provided device is excellent.
Yaesu M-100
Always been a big fan of Yaesu Mics, and owned an MD-200 for many years with excellent audio results when using different HF radios. Now very pleased with the purchase of the Yaesu M-100 Mic, and it makes a great addition to my FlexRadio 6600M and it’s sophisticated 8 band EQ graphic equaliser where I can create various TX profiles. As a moderately priced Mic it offers a high quality condenser as well as a dynamic element, something that you would certainly find a lot more expensive in other Mic manufacturers. Thanks to Oliver from ML&S for assisting me during my purchase. Ray de G0VLF
