EAntenna EADELTA7B Delta Loop 7 Bands 1kW - R2010201
- Overview
- Additional Information
EAntennas Delta Loops offer full, multi-band operation with the use of your wide range antenna tuner. The EADELTA7B, at about 24 ft. tall and 18 ft. wide, is specified to be tunable from 30 through 6 meters. This depends upon the capabilities of your wide range tuner. Better tuners also provide operations on 40 meters. Limited band coverage may occur with less capable antenna tuners, including some that are built into the transceiver. Plan to use an outboard wide-range antenna tuner that is capable of handling elevated SWR at the power output of your radio or amplifier.
EADELTA7B Delta Loops are built with the toughest components; high-strength 3/8 in. aluminum plates, special insulators, rugged oversize aluminum tubing and extra-strong top wires with strain relief. Excellent design and materials are combined to produce these heavy-duty HF antennas that withstand winds up to 100 mph! They look like a wishbone, but they really are full loop antennas that exhibit resonance at multiple frequencies. Delta Loops provide directionality with very good side nulls, and feature excellent low-noise operation, a hallmark of loop antennas. The supplied balun (1kw continuous) with a standard SO-239 (UHF Female) lets you connect and operate right away!
As with any elevated HF antenna, normal performance is achieved by installing your EAntennas EADELTA7B Delta Loop in the clear, at a height above the ground greater than one-quarter wavelength on the lowest frequency of operation. HF antenna installation heights of one-half wavelength above the ground or greater will dramatically enhance the DX capabilities of these directional antennas. Use a rotator to turn your Delta Loop to cover all directions, as vertical loops are good at peaking and nulling signals. They really can be fun to use!
