The CHA SS17 is a standalone stainless steel whip made of 10 sections which extend to 17 feet (5.18m) and collapses to 27 inches (68.58cm).
The whip can easily operate a full quarter wave from 6M through to 20M with manual adjustment without the need of a loading coil or can be combined with the CHA MPAS 2.0 as main radiator.

The SS17 is a rust resistant vertical whip equipped with a standard 3/8-24 base mounting. If combined to the CHA MIL EXT 2.0 (8.8' long), a 25.8' long vertical antenna can be created.

Best 17ft telescopic whip?

I purchased this antenna for QRP portable use. I’ve had it setup on the car and also ground mounted with radials and it’s an excellent DX antenna.
I’ve managed to work USA on 20m and Canada on 15m and lots of good reports on 10m too. Probably the best made 17ft telescopic antenna on the market. Honestly can’t rate this highly enough. Easily managed to tune all bands from 20-6m without needing a tuner. M7BCN
