DV4mini-AMBE-70cm USB stick for digital voice and direct voice operation

The DV4mini-AMBE has the same functionality as the DV4mini. It is thus a digital voice hotspot and establishes a connection between its radio and reflectors via the Internet. Additionally, an AMBE 3000 chip is installed. This allows direct speaking and listening via microphone and loudspeakers on a sound card! This even allows the participation in the worldwide DV operation WITHOUT radio (!) By talking directly to the reflector (and listening).

The DV4mini-AMBE can be used in the following 4 configurations:
Speaking:One sends with a DV radio. The DV4mini-AMBE receives this RF signal, decodes it, and passes it on to a connected reflector. Listening
:Voice transmissions from a relector are converted and transmitted by the DV4mini-AMBE into a suitable RF signal. With the radio you can hear this transmission.
2. Pure HF operation
Speaking: One presses the PTT button in the DV4mini software with the mouse and speaks into a microphone which is connected to the sound card. The DV4mini-AMBE sends this signal by HF and you can hear it in a radio. Listening
:One sends with a radio. The DV4mini-AMBE receives this RF signal, decodes it and passes the language to the sound card which it plays via loudspeakers.
3. Reflector operation without radio
Talk:Press the PTT button in the DV4mini software with the mouse and speak into a microphone which is connected to the sound card. The DV4mini-AMBE transmits this signal to the connected reflector.
Hear: Voice releases from a relector are decoded by the DV4mini-AMBE and the language is passed on to the sound card which is played back via loudspeakers.
4. all at the same time
Talk:Press the PTT button in the DV4mini software with the mouse and speak into a microphone which is connected to the sound card. The DV4mini-AMBE sends this signal to the connected reflector, in addition the DV4mini-AMBE sends this signal via HF and you can hear it in a radio. Listening

For digital voice HAMs were enthusiastic : finally, your handheld radio does not need to dust anymore. With this hotspot you get the D-Star, DMR, C4FM etc. reflector directly into the Shack.
DV radio without a radio : if a DV radio is too expensive, this stick can participate in the worldwide digital voice operation, everything you need is the DV4mini AMBE and a PC with sound card, microphone and loudspeaker.
For hobbyists : the DV4mini runs excellently on single board computers such as Raspberry, BananaPI, Odroid etc. Minimum requirement is dual core. A hotspot configured in this way needs only a few watts of power and is well suited for continuous operation.
For developers: the interface between PC and DV4mini is laid out. This means that not only digital voice but also any digital data can be transmitted. The imagination knows no limits. The interface between the user interface and the DV4mini software is also available.
For tourists: due to its tiny dimensions it can be taken everywhere and a hotspot is built up quickly in the hotel. Even if you do not have the radio, you can speak worldwide via sound card!
