The Armoloq TPA-857B is a rugged, precision-engineered two-piece protective mounting platform designed specifically for the Yaesu FT-857 and FT-857D transceivers.
Manufactured from CNC laser-cut 1/8" 5052 aluminium and finished in a matte black powder coat, the TPA-857B adds substantial protection and useful mounting capability for field, mobile, manpack and go-box installations.
Its wrap-around construction helps protect both the radio body and control head while maintaining access to the front-facing controls and connections. The frame secures directly to the FT-857 using the radio's four side mounting points and the supplied correctly sized mounting screws.

Serious Protection Without Blocking Access
The TPA-857B surrounds the radio with a rigid aluminium structure designed to help protect vulnerable areas during transport, field operation and mobile use.
The frame attaches using the FT-857's four side mounting holes, creating a secure installation without requiring permanent modification to the radio.
Its open construction retains access to the radio's front-facing controls and ports, allowing the FT-857 to remain practical to operate while installed in the frame.
Cleaner Antenna Connections
This version of the TPA-857B is supplied with one Armoloq RF Plug-and-Play Package in PL-TNC/RA3 configuration.
The included assembly uses a PL-259 right-angle connector to a TNC female bulkhead with a 1ft length of RG58C/U coax. A TNC male to BNC female adaptor is also supplied.
The bulkhead arrangement allows the radio's antenna connection to be relocated to a more convenient position on the pack frame, helping with cable management, strain relief and faster connection in portable or mounted installations.
This kit includes the PL-TNC/RA3 RF package only. If you would also like an N-Type connection for the FT-857's 2m/70cm antenna port, select the appropriate RF package separately from the Accessories section.

The supplied M4-0.7 x 10mm screws are the correct length for installation with the TPA frame. They should not be fitted to the radio without the TPA frame in place.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
