Call 0345 2300 599The 4O3A Band Pass Filter Series XL is a high power filtering solution designed for serious contesters and multi station environments. Each filter handles up to 4,500 W ICAS and is placed on the output side of a linear amplifier to suppress harmonics and broadband noise before it reaches the antenna system. This improves station performance, protects sensitive equipment and provides stable operation during heavy use such as contests.
The Series XL range covers all major HF contest bands plus 6 m and 160 m. It includes the required 10 m, 15 m and 20 m filters for the HFC4500 Triplexer Combiner. Each unit is hand tuned and built with silver plated high Q coils in a strong aluminium enclosure that prevents mechanical drift. Cooling fans are fitted as standard to maintain safe performance at sustained power levels.
Filtering takes place after final amplification which reduces the need for multiple sets of low power filters between transceivers and amplifiers. Any transceiver in the station can use a single filter for its band which simplifies switching and reduces system cost.
Insertion loss is kept very low through careful design and the use of high quality components. Out of band rejection typically exceeds 55 dB and can reach 75 dB on adjacent contest bands. This delivers strong suppression of unwanted signals and supports clean, reliable operation.
The 160 m model is a five pole low pass filter with the other bands being a band pass filter.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
