Call 0345 2300 599The HyEndFed HF Bandpass Filters are designed to reduce strong signals outside the selected amateur band, helping to improve receiver performance and reduce interference between nearby stations.
Available for 10m, 15m, 20m, 40m, and 80m, each filter passes the required amateur band while providing attenuation to signals outside that band.
On receive, reducing strong out-of-band signals lowers the load placed on the receiver front end and mixer, helping to reduce unwanted mixing products and improve overall reception.
On transmit, the filter also helps suppress unwanted out-of-band emissions, reducing the potential for interference to other nearby stations.
These filters are particularly useful for contest stations, Multi/Multi, Multi/2, and SO2R installations, where several radios may be operating simultaneously on different bands.

Contest and Multi-Radio Operation
Bandpass filtering becomes particularly important when two or more stations are operating in close proximity.
In a Multi/Multi, Multi/2, or SO2R station, one radio may be transmitting while another is receiving on a different amateur band. A suitable bandpass filter helps reduce the amount of unwanted RF from the transmitting station reaching the receiver on the other band.
This can make it easier to search for multipliers or monitor another band while transmitting elsewhere.
Competition Versions
Competition variants of the HyEndFed bandpass filters are designed with significantly steeper filter skirts, providing greater attenuation outside the wanted passband.
These versions are intended for demanding RF environments where stations may be operating very close together and additional band-to-band isolation is required.
Construction
The filters are housed in a strong waterproof aluminium enclosure and use high-quality ATC ceramic capacitors.
These components help minimise insertion loss while allowing a maximum power handling of up to 1000W PEP.
Each filter is fitted with SO-239 sockets and is normally installed in the antenna feedline using a short coaxial patch lead.
Typical Installation
The filter should be installed in the RF path for the required band.
A typical high-power installation would be:
Transceiver → Amplifier → HyEndFed Bandpass Filter → Antenna
The filter is normally positioned after the amplifier and before the antenna.
Always ensure that the filter selected corresponds to the amateur band being used before transmitting.

Important Note
Each filter is designed for a specific amateur band. The correct filter must be selected and connected before transmitting.
These are passive RF filters and do not automatically switch between bands. Multi-band stations will therefore require either manual reconnection or a suitable external switching system where appropriate.
Short coaxial patch leads, antenna switches, amplifiers, radios, and other accessories are not included unless specifically stated.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.

International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
