The Momobeam MOMO-EF1040C-1KW is a short coil-loaded End Fed wire antenna designed for multi-band HF operation on 40m, 20m, and 10m. It is ideal for operators who want the performance and convenience of an End Fed antenna, but need a more compact installation than the standard full-length version.

This 1kW model is suitable for higher power HF operation and can be used for fixed station installations as well as portable activities. The shorter coil-loaded design makes it easier to fit into gardens, temporary field locations or installations where a longer wire may not be practical. It can be installed horizontally, as an inverted L or as a sloper depending on your available supports and space.

As an End Fed antenna, the MOMO-EF1040C-1KW is fed from one end of the wire, making it useful where a centre-fed dipole would be difficult to install. It uses a long half-wave radiator with a 49 to 1 wide-band impedance transformer, designed to transform the high feed point impedance closer to 50 ohms for multi-band use.

The antenna is built using coated copper core wire, UV-resistant box and wire materials, and stainless steel hardware for reliable outdoor durability. When installed as high as practical, ideally no less than 10 metres, and kept clear of nearby obstacles, it can provide a typical match of better than 2 to 1 on the supported bands. In some installations, minor trimming or the use of an internal or external tuner may help optimise SWR.

Installation Notes

For best performance, install the antenna as high as practical, ideally no less than 10 metres, and keep it clear of surrounding objects. SWR and tuning will vary depending on height, layout, nearby buildings, trees and ground conditions. A radio’s internal tuner or a suitable external tuner may help fine-tune the match where required.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.

For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.

International Warranty information

Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
