Call 0345 2300 599Chameleon 16 Gauge Bulk Antenna Wire is a rugged, high quality antenna wire designed for demanding portable, field and stealth radio operations. Developed by Chameleon for use across many of their own wire and portable antenna systems, this is the same style of wire used in products such as the MPAS 2.0, MPAS Lite, EMCOMM II, TD 2.0 and many others.
The wire uses stranded tinned copper for reliable electrical conductivity, making it well suited for building, repairing or modifying HF wire antennas, counterpoise wires, radials and portable antenna elements. Its PTFE insulation offers excellent protection against abrasion, chemicals, oils, solvents, moisture and high temperatures, making it far more durable than ordinary PVC insulated wire.
For strength, the wire also includes integrated Kevlar fibres. This gives it excellent tensile strength while keeping the wire flexible, lightweight and suitable for repeated deployment in the field. Whether used for SOTA, POTA, EMCOMM, portable DXing or a discreet home antenna installation, Chameleon 16 Gauge Antenna Wire is built to handle tough operating conditions.
With a wide operating temperature range of -70°C to +150°C, strong UV resistance, excellent weather resistance and MIL-spec style construction, this wire is ideal for operators who need antenna wire that is dependable, compact and ready for serious use.
