The PowerGenius XL is a solid-state linear amplifier offering up to 2000 W PEP on SSB and up to 1500 W for RTTY and FT8 at a 50% duty cycle. It uses two MRF1K50H LDMOS devices at 48 V for excellent linearity and clean signals. The built-in PSU accepts 90-250 VAC single-phase, ideal for home or DX use.
Remote operation: designed for easy station integration.
- Band-data via Icom CI-V and serial CAT
- Ethernet for networking and remote control
- Quick integration with FlexRadio, compatible with other transceivers
Signal purity: a 60 dB attenuated predistortion output can feed the TX signal back to a suitable transceiver for analysis and optimisation.
Protection and ease of use:
- Temperature monitoring and high-SWR protection with automatic power reduction
- Colour LCD for live power and status
- Single Standby/Operate button - everything else is automatic

PowerGenius XL - high performance solid-state HF/6 m linear amplifier for home, contest and remote stations.
The PowerGenius XL delivers serious output with modern convenience. It provides up to 2000 W PEP on SSB and up to 1500 W for RTTY and FT8 at a 50% duty cycle, using a pair of MRF1K50H LDMOS devices running at 48 V. The result is clean, linear RF with excellent headroom for demanding operating styles.
Select your option from the drop-down
- 1-in, 3-out - one radio feeding up to three antennas, ideal for band or antenna selection from a single transceiver
- 2-in, 2-out (SO2R) - two radios and two antennas for true SO2R contest operation with independent paths
Built for everyday reliability
The amplifier includes a universal single-phase power supply that accepts 90–250 VAC, so it is comfortable in UK shacks and on international trips. Intelligent thermal management and conservative device loading help the PA run cool and stable, even during extended operating sessions.
Remote-first design
- Ethernet control for straightforward station networking and remote access
- Band data via Icom CI-V and serial CAT for automatic band switching
- Quick, simple integration with FlexRadio systems, plus compatibility with most modern transceivers
Clean signal chain
A 60 dB attenuated pre-distortion output allows suitable radios to sample the transmit path, analyse the signal and apply correction. This helps maximise spectral purity and reduce unwanted emissions when used with compatible equipment.
Protection and ease of use
- Comprehensive protection for the PA and your transceiver, including temperature monitoring, high SWR detection and automatic power reduction
- Colour LCD with clear status and power readouts for at-a-glance checks
- Simple front panel with a single Standby/Operate control - routine operation is largely automatic
Why choose PowerGenius XL
- Serious output - full legal-limit class performance on HF plus 6 m
- Modern architecture - LDMOS devices for efficiency, stability and repeatable results
- Station flexibility - choose 1-in/3-out for multi-antenna convenience or 2-in/2-out for SO2R
- Remote ready - network control options that suit today’s distributed shacks
Installation notes
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the amplifier and do not obstruct airflow
- Use appropriately rated coax, connectors and an antenna system with a suitable SWR
- Observe local licensing rules and EMF assessment requirements for your station
