IC-2730E Dual Band VHF/UHF Transceiver (Black Screen Edition)
The IC-2730E (Black Screen Edition) is a stylish new version of our popular VHF/UHF dual-band FM mobile transceiver. With its striking black inverted LCD, this edition provides a sophisticated appearance while maintaining all the functionality and reliability that have made the IC-2730E a favourite among amateur radio enthusiasts.
Simultaneous VHF/VHF and UHF/UHF Receive
The IC-2730E offers simultaneous receive on VHF/VHF and UHF/UHF, as well as VHF/UHF. The main dials, volume and squelch controls and primary buttons are symmetrically arranged for each band, ensuring intuitive operation.
High-Contrast Black Inverted LCD
The IC-2730E boasts a large 91mm x 27mm display area. The frequency and channel name are displayed prominently, and the new black inverted LCD provides exceptional contrast for easy readability in all lighting conditions.
Various Mounting Options
For convenient controller mounting, consider the optional MBF-1 suction cup base and MBA-5 bracket. These allow for easy tilt and swivel adjustments, and the large suction cup ensures a secure hold on any flat surface. It can also be easily removed. Alternatively, the controller can be attached directly to the main unit using the optional MBA-4 bracket.
50W of output on VHF and UHF
The IC-2730E employs a durable PA module and delivers 50 watts of high-power operation on both VHF and UHF bands.
Built-in CTCSS and DTCS Tones
The IC-2730E comes equipped with 50 CTCSS and 104 DTCS tones for quiet standby and repeater access. The split tone function allows you to configure CTCSS/DTCS tones separately for repeater uplink and downlink on a per-channel basis.
Wideband Receiver
The IC-2730E covers 118–174MHz and 375–550MHz, allowing you to listen to aviation, marine, weather channels, and other utility communications. Br> *Receiver range varies depending on version.
Optional Noise-Cancelling Microphone
For operation in noisy environments, the optional HM-209 active noise-cancelling microphone can significantly reduce background noise, ensuring clear and intelligible audio transmissions.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
