The Yaesu DR-3X is the latest generation of Yaesu’s advanced digital and FM repeater system, designed for reliable amateur radio repeater operation with improved receiver performance, enhanced interference handling and flexible dual receive capability.

Available in Two Versions

The DR-3X will be available in two model versions:

  • DR-3XV - 85W 100% duty transmit on 144MHz, with dual receive on VHF/VHF or VHF/UHF
  • DR-3XU - 65W 100% duty transmit on 430MHz, with dual receive on UHF/UHF or UHF/VHF

Key Features

  • IES - Interference Evasion System
    When the DR-3X detects an interfering signal, it can automatically move into Evasion Mode. Compatible users will be notified on their radio display and can automatically access the repeater using an alternative frequency. Once the interference disappears, the DR-3X returns to normal operation.

    Please note: IES compatibility requires supported Yaesu radios and a firmware update. Compatible models include FTM-510D/500D, FTM-310D, FTM-150 and FT5D.
  • ASP - Audio Digital Signal Processor
    In conventional FM mode, ASP helps improve reception of weaker signals, which may help expand the usable coverage area of the repeater. ASP is automatically enabled or disabled depending on received signal strength.
  • Super-DX Operation
    The DR-3X allows the RF front-end to be set for high-gain reception of weak signals, or adjusted for improved anti-intermodulation performance in busy urban RF environments.
  • FM Friendly Digital with Yaesu AMS
    Yaesu’s Automatic Mode Select automatically recognises whether the uplink signal is Digital C4FM or conventional FM, then relays the signal according to the selected downlink mode.
  • Dual Receive Capability
    The DR-3X offers simultaneous dual receive operation, allowing an additional frequency to be used for repeater control or emergency message transmission.
  • Massive Heatsink for 100% Duty Cycle
    Both DR-3XV and DR-3XU feature a large heatsink with significantly improved cooling capability compared with the DR-2X. This allows 100% duty cycle operation with up to 85W output on VHF or 65W output on UHF, depending on model.
  • Easy Wi-Fi Setup
    The DR-3X can be configured via Wi-Fi using a PC, smartphone or tablet. Once set up, an operator can also remotely turn the repeater on or off and adjust RF power.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.

For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.

International Warranty information

Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
