VGC VR-N76 Dual Band Handheld Radio

The VGC VR-N76 combines conventional analogue amateur radio operation with the sort of connectivity normally associated with far more specialised equipment.
Alongside up to 5 watts of RF output, the VR-N76 includes Bluetooth, GPS, an electronic compass, a hardware AX.25 KISS TNC and extensive app-based control.
Its rugged IP67-rated construction, USB-C charging and location-based features make it particularly well suited to portable, outdoor and data-based amateur radio operation.

Hardware AX.25 KISS TNC Over Bluetooth
One of the VR-N76's most interesting features is its integrated AX.25 KISS TNC.
Compatible software can exchange packet data with the radio over Bluetooth without requiring a separate external TNC or audio interface.
This makes the VR-N76 particularly useful for APRS, packet radio and other applications that support the standard KISS interface.
Much More Than Wireless Programming
The VGC HT companion app can configure and program the radio wirelessly, but its integration goes considerably further than conventional Bluetooth programming.
Supported functions include remote radio control, offline mapping, position sharing, messaging and firmware updates.
GPS, BDS and Electronic Compass
The VR-N76 includes integrated satellite positioning together with an electronic compass for location-based radio functions.
When paired with the companion app, offline maps can be downloaded before travelling, allowing position information to remain useful even when mobile-data coverage is unavailable.
APRS and Smart Beaconing
The integrated packet-radio hardware supports APRS position and data applications without requiring a separate external modem.
VGC also provides Smart Beaconing functionality, allowing position-report timing to respond dynamically to movement rather than relying only on a fixed interval.
IP67 Dust and Water Protection
The sealed housing is rated to IP67, providing protection against dust and temporary water immersion.
Combined with USB-C charging and a substantial 2600mAh battery, the VR-N76 is well suited to field, portable and outdoor amateur radio use.
Powerful 2W Speaker
Up to 2 watts of audio output from the built-in loudspeaker helps keep received audio clear in noisy outdoor or mobile environments.

Bluetooth Audio and Data
Bluetooth is used for both data and supported audio accessories, allowing the VR-N76 to work with compatible applications, wireless speaker microphones and other supported devices.
Firmware updates have continued to improve Bluetooth stability and add further radio functions over time.
The VR-N76 is closely related to radios including the BTECH UV-PRO, Radioddity GA-5WB and Radtel RT-660. Firmware and individual features can differ between brands and models.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
