This transceiver offers a strong set of features aimed at experienced users, including airband AM reception, allowing real-time monitoring of air traffic control, aircraft communications, and aviation broadcasts. A cross-band repeater function provides effective linking between VHF and UHF frequencies, while true dual receive enables two channels to be monitored at the same time.
Clear audio is maintained through the use of an analogue scrambler and compander, and the dual-band, dual-mode design supports operation on VHF and UHF analogue FM, as well as DMR Tier I and Tier II systems. Integrated GPS with APRS capability allows for accurate position reporting, messaging, and tracking. Power is supplied by a 3100 mAh USB-C rechargeable battery, delivering more than 24 hours of reliable operation.

DOWNLOAD THE BROCHURE
To get into NXDN as a UK ham radio operator, you need a valid amateur license (issued by Ofcom), register for an ID at RadioID.net, use compatible digital radio hardware (Kenwood, Icom), and program it for the narrow 6.25kHz FDMA digital mode, often requiring specific software and potentially paid licenses from dealers for newer radios, focusing on local repeater networks or linked systems.
2. Get Your NXDN ID
- Register at RadioID.net: Go to RadioID.net, create an account, and register for your single NXDN ID (and a DMR ID if you plan on DMR too).
- Validation: You'll need to validate your amateur license details with them.
