Chameleon Antenna's CHA BLANK

The CHA BLANK – A Foundationally Versatile Component in Chameleon Antenna’s Portable Range

The CHA BLANK is a core, highly flexible part of Chameleon Antenna’s modular portable antenna lineup. It supports multiple whip configurations—allowing you to build setups that range from ultra-compact to extended coverage, depending on your operating needs. Compatible with CHA SS17 and CHA SS25 telescopic whips, it lays the groundwork for adaptable field antenna systems.

Compatible Whips and Their Advantages

The versatility of the CHA BLANK starts with the range of whips it supports—letting you tailor your antenna for portability or maximum range.

CHA SS17 (17 ft Telescopic Whip)

  • Efficient resonance between ~13.8 MHz and 117 MHz (20–6 m bands) when fully extended.
  • With a Medium Loading Coil, it can also cover 30 and 40 m—ideal for single-band HF operations.

CHA SS25 (25 ft Telescopic Whip)

  • Offers extended coverage and stronger signals—especially useful for emergency communications or rural remote ops.
  • Combined with CHA BLANK and MPAS components, it delivers broad multiband capability with minimal tuning.

CHA BLANK Features & Integration

  • 3/8″ × 24 Threaded Connection – Secure mounting for SS58, SS17, SS25 and other compatible whips.
  • Dual Coax Adapter – Converts to either SO-239 or BNC connectors for seamless integration.
  • Radial Support – With the CHA PUCK HUB, supports up to six radials via Banana Jacks—improving grounding and antenna performance.

Benefits of Using CHA BLANK with Different Whips

Whether you’re aiming for compact convenience or broad HF coverage, the CHA BLANK's modular build delivers:

  • Flexible configurations—tailored for different bands and conditions.
  • Highly portable—quick to assemble, easy to pack.
  • Precise SWR tuning through whip adjustment and radial selection.

Example set-ups range from compact SS58 configurations for urban or vehicle use, to extended SS25 layouts for maximal range or emergency scenarios.
