New Antenna Installation at Martin Lynch & Sons: Expanding Our HF Capabilities

We’re excited to share news of our latest antenna installation at Martin Lynch & Sons, where we’ve significantly upgraded our HF, VHF and UHF antenna systems to better serve our customers and demonstrate the latest transceivers using modern antenna technology.

The New Multi-Band Yagi: EA Antenna DY-MINI6B

The centrepiece of our new installation is the impressive EA Antenna DY-MINI6B, a 9-element multi-band Yagi covering 40m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m and 10m bands.

This compact yet powerful antenna brings together the benefits of traditional Yagi directional gain with the convenience of multi-band operation.

Alongside our new Yagi, we’ve also installed several vertical antennas to provide comprehensive coverage and demonstrate different antenna solutions.

Diamond CP-6S Vertical HF Antenna

The Diamond CP-6S provides excellent omnidirectional coverage across the HF bands. This vertical antenna is perfect for operators who need consistent performance in all directions without the need for rotation.

Classic Performers: V-2000 and X-6000

We’ve retained our trusted V-2000 and X-6000 antennas, which continue to provide reliable VHF/UHF coverage. These proven performers demonstrate that sometimes the classics are hard to beat.

EFHW Solution: Momobeam 10m-80m End Fed

Completing our installation is the Momobeam EFHW antenna, covering 10m to 80m with a 300W power rating. This end-fed wire antenna represents an excellent solution for operators with limited space or those seeking a more discreet installation option.

Meshtastic Networking: SenseCAP Solar Node P1 Pro

In addition to our HF, VHF and UHF antenna systems, we have also expanded our Meshtastic network coverage with the addition of the SenseCAP Solar Node P1 Pro.

This self-contained solar-powered Meshtastic node helps extend LoRa mesh coverage across the local area whilst demonstrating the growing capabilities of off-grid digital communications. With its integrated solar panel, rechargeable battery and weather-resistant enclosure, it is an ideal solution for permanent outdoor deployment.

The SenseCAP node has already become a popular talking point with visitors interested in Meshtastic, emergency communications and low-power wireless networking. It demonstrates how simple it can be to deploy reliable mesh infrastructure without requiring mains power or complex installations.

As interest in Meshtastic continues to grow throughout the amateur radio and maker communities, we're pleased to be able to demonstrate the technology in a real-world environment and help customers choose the right equipment for their own mesh networking projects.
