The Chelegance JSatTrack-100 is a compact portable azimuth/elevation rotator designed to automatically point a suitable antenna at passing LEO and amateur-radio satellites.
Mount the rotator on a suitable tripod using its Ø16 mm centre shaft, secure an antenna with an 18–24 mm square boom in the side clamp, connect a 12–24 V DC supply and control the system over WiFi or serial from compatible satellite-tracking software.
Follow an entire satellite pass
The JSatTrack-100 provides continuous 0–360° azimuth rotation together with 0–90° elevation movement, allowing a directional antenna to follow satellites across the visible sky.
Variable-speed movement provides controlled tracking, while the power-off self-locking mechanism helps the rotator hold its position when power is removed.
Look4Sat, GS-232B and EasyCom
The rotator communicates over WiFi or its 115,200 bps serial interface and supports GS-232B, EasyCom I and EasyCom II protocols. A dedicated mode is also provided for the Look4Sat Android satellite-tracking application.
Built around a portable satellite station
Weighing approximately 2 kg, the JSatTrack-100 can be carried to portable operating locations and fitted to a suitable tripod or support using the Ø16 mm centre shaft.
Antenna mounting and balance
The JSatTrack-100 is specified for side-mounted antennas weighing up to 8 kg. We recommend balancing antennas weighing more than 3 kg to reduce the risk of instability or tipping.
The antenna boom must be compatible with the rotator's 18–24 mm square-boom clamp. Check the antenna's mechanical dimensions and balance before installation.
12–24 V DC
Power consumption is rated at a maximum of 15 W. DC input is through a 5.5 × 2.5 mm connector, making the unit suitable for an appropriately rated station PSU or portable battery system.
IP64 rated
Designed for indoor or outdoor operation, with an operating temperature range of −20 to +65 °C and specified humidity below 90% RH.
Basic setup
A typical installation follows four straightforward steps.
At-a-glance status indication
A built-in tri-colour status light and audible buzzer provide operating feedback for functions including standby, initialisation, tracking and connection status.
What's in the box?
Please note: antenna, tripod and DC power supply are not included.
