Compact 50 Ohm, 50W continuous air-cooled dummy load available with either a PL-259 or N-Type male connector.
The JNCRADIO JLOAD-50 is a compact 50W continuous, 50 Ohm RF dummy load for transmitter testing, tuning and terminating RF equipment without intentionally radiating a signal.
Its passive air-cooled construction requires no power supply or fan, while a specified VSWR of ≤1.2 provides a predictable load across the rated frequency range.
Two connector versions are available. Choose the PL-259 model for operation up to 520MHz, or the N-Type male model for coverage up to 3GHz.
Designed to dissipate up to 50 watts continuously within its specified operating conditions.
Provides the standard 50 Ohm termination used by amateur radio and most RF test equipment.
Low specified VSWR provides a stable RF termination across the applicable frequency range.
Completely passive cooling means there is no fan, external power supply or additional connection required.
Two JLOAD-50 Versions
Both versions provide the same 50 Ohm, 50W continuous termination. The connector determines the available frequency range.
PL-259 / UHF Male
Frequency range: DC to 520MHz
A practical choice for HF, VHF and amateur UHF transmitter testing where a PL-259 connection is required.
N-Type Male
Frequency range: DC to 3GHz
Extended frequency coverage makes the N-Type version suitable for VHF, UHF and RF testing into the low microwave region.
Test a Transmitter Without Connecting an Antenna
A dummy load provides a controlled 50 Ohm termination for the transmitter instead of an antenna. This is useful when carrying out servicing, checking RF output or configuring equipment without radiating a normal on-air signal.
The compact air-cooled JLOAD-50 is equally at home on a workshop bench or in a portable radio kit where a simple RF termination is useful.
Metal RF Construction
The JLOAD-50 uses a nickel-plated copper outer shell with a silver-plated copper inner conductor, combined with passive air cooling for straightforward and maintenance-free operation.
Observe the 50W continuous rating and the specified frequency range of the connector version being used. As with any passive dummy load, the body will dissipate RF energy as heat during transmission.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
