The Grazioli G-Max is a high-performance collinear vertical antenna designed for serious 10m and 11m operation. Tunable from 27 to 28.5MHz, it uses a 5/8 wave over 1/4 wave in-phase collinear configuration to provide high gain, a compressed main lobe and a low radiation angle for excellent long-distance performance.

Built on the proven mechanical design of Grazioli’s FE10V, the G-Max is designed to offer performance comparable to, or better than, some small directional antennas, while retaining the practical advantage of omnidirectional coverage. This makes it an excellent choice for operators who want strong DX performance without needing a rotator or beam antenna system.

The antenna is constructed from cold-drawn AW6063-T66 aluminium alloy tubing, chosen for its strength, precision and long-term reliability. The tube sections are manufactured with accurate diameters and wall thicknesses, giving a secure fit with minimal play. All hardware is AISI-304 and AISI-316 stainless steel for excellent outdoor durability.

The ground plane uses four full quarter-wave radials, each 2.7m long, made from sturdy telescopic aluminium sections. The radials are fixed with U-bolts and self-locking nuts, with fibreglass reinforcements supplied to strengthen the joints and prevent tube crushing.

The G-Max uses a carefully positioned high Q coil between the central radiating sections. This provides phase delay between the 1/4 wave and 5/8 wave sections, compensates for capacitive reactance and transfers RF power efficiently to the upper section. The antenna is DC grounded, helping to reduce static build-up and atmospheric noise.

A custom Grazioli 50 ohm UHF female connector is fitted, with PTFE insulation and a 24K gold-plated centre pin for long-term reliability. The antenna is also supplied with a 3-point fifth wheel bracing system, which is strongly recommended for installation.

Construction Details

The G-Max is built from precision AW6063-T66 aluminium alloy tubing, with fibreglass, brass and PTFE components used throughout the antenna system. The custom Grazioli connector uses a nickel-plated CW614N brass body, a 24K gold-plated centre pin and PTFE insulation, protected by a special elastomer cap to help prevent water and humidity ingress.

Installation Notes

Due to its height and performance-focused design, the G-Max should be installed on a suitable support mast with clear space around the antenna and radials. The supplied 3-point fifth wheel bracing system should be used for additional stability. As with all high-power vertical antennas, careful mechanical installation, weatherproofing and good quality coaxial cable are important for best long-term performance.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.

For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.

International Warranty information

Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
