HF / VHF / UHF All-Mode Transceiver

Icom IC-7100

One compact radio covering HF, 50 MHz, 70 MHz, 144 MHz and 430 MHz, with all-mode operation, D-STAR, a detachable touch-screen controller and powerful IF DSP processing.

The Icom IC-7100 brings together the flexibility of an HF base station and a multi-band mobile transceiver. Its separate slant-top controller puts the touch display, speaker, microphone connection, CW key jack and essential controls within easy reach, while the main RF unit can be installed out of the way in a vehicle or station.

HF / 50 MHz
100 W
Full-power HF and 6 metre operation.
70 MHz
50 W
UK 4 metre coverage from 70–70.5 MHz.
144 MHz
50 W
Full 144–146 MHz all-mode operation.
430 MHz
35 W
430–440 MHz coverage for 70 cm operation.
TOUCH-SCREEN CONTROL

Tap the setting you want to change

The IC-7100's large 48.6 × 75.9 mm resistive touch-screen controller gives direct access to operating bands, modes, filters, memories and meter functions without having to work through layers of conventional buttons.

A software keypad makes direct frequency, callsign and memory entry straightforward, and the resistive screen can even be operated while wearing gloves.

SLANT-TOP CONTROLLER

Designed for mobile or desktop operation

The separate controller measures just 165 × 64 × 78.5 mm and incorporates the display, built-in speaker and connections for the microphone, electronic key and external speaker or headphones.

3.5 m Separation Cable The OPC-2253 controller cable is supplied with the radio.
Up to 5 m Optional The optional OPC-2254 extends the controller separation distance to 5 metres.
Vehicle Mounting Use the optional MBA-1 controller bracket with the MBF-1 mounting base for tilt and swivel adjustment.
TRUE ALL-MODE OPERATION

From HF SSB to VHF/UHF weak signal

The IC-7100 supports USB, LSB, CW, RTTY, AM, FM and D-STAR DV modes across its supported amateur bands, making it far more versatile than a conventional FM-only VHF/UHF mobile.

32-BIT FLOATING-POINT IF DSP

Powerful signal processing from HF to UHF

Icom's high-performance IF DSP provides signal-processing functions across the radio's HF, VHF and UHF coverage, helping the operator shape received audio and deal with interference.

Digital IF Filters Select and adjust filtering to suit different operating modes and signal conditions.
Twin PBT Digital twin passband tuning helps reduce nearby interference.
Noise Reduction DSP processing helps improve readability in difficult conditions.
DSP Speech Compressor RF speech compression is controlled digitally for transmit operation.
D-STAR BUILT IN

Digital voice and data without an optional module

D-STAR DV mode is built into the IC-7100 as standard, providing digital voice and low-speed data operation. Icom's DR mode simplifies operation through D-STAR repeaters, while the radio provides 900 dedicated D-STAR repeater memory channels.

With compatible external GPS data, the radio can also use its repeater database to help locate nearby D-STAR repeaters.

SD CARD SLOT

Save your radio configuration

An SD card can store voice memories, memory-channel information, D-STAR repeater memories and personal radio settings for backup or transfer.

VOICE MEMORY

Recording and playback

Built-in voice-memory functions provide recording and playback capability, alongside four transmit voice memories for frequently used messages.

BUILT-IN RTTY FUNCTIONS

Decode RTTY directly on the display

The IC-7100 includes an RTTY decoder that can display received RTTY messages without requiring an external TNC or computer for decoding. Eight RTTY transmit memories can each store up to 70 characters.

Plenty of operating tools

Band Scope Monitor activity around the operating frequency.
SWR Graphic Display Check antenna-system behaviour across a selected frequency range.
Multi-Function Meter Quickly view relevant receive and transmit information.
±0.5 ppm Stability High frequency stability specified from 0 to +50 °C at 430 MHz.
OPTIONAL REMOTE OPERATION

Control the IC-7100 from a remote PC

Icom's optional RS-BA1 IP Remote Control Software allows compatible remote operation across a local network or the Internet, making the IC-7100 equally useful in a conventional shack or a remotely operated station.
