Icom IC-7760 at ML&S

The Icom IC-7760 is a 200W HF/50MHz amateur radio transceiver introducing Icom's new Innovative Shack Style, with a full control head and separate RF deck connected by a control cable for far greater installation flexibility.

A 3 metre / 9.8ft control cable is supplied. A commercially available Cat5e or higher LAN cable can also be used for a direct connection of up to 100 metres, allowing the RF deck to be installed away from the operating desk and potentially closer to the antenna feed point.

The control head and RF deck can also communicate through a wired home LAN. This enables the controller to be operated from another suitable location in the home without requiring a PC at the RF deck.

MAIN and SUB dual touchscreen displays provide extensive operating information while keeping important controls immediately accessible. The 7-inch main display handles frequencies, operating status, spectrum information and metering, while the separate 2.4-inch touchscreen can display filter effects, meters and band stacking registers.

The receiver uses an advanced RF direct-sampling system with independent MAIN and SUB receivers. DIGI-SEL and the preamp can also be used together, allowing the preamp to improve sensitivity while the digital pre-selector helps reject strong unwanted out-of-band signals.

On transmit, the IC-7760 combines up to 200W output with Icom's Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) technology for improved transmitted signal cleanliness. A built-in relay-type automatic antenna tuner, dual spectrum scopes and extensive contest and DX functions complete a transceiver designed for demanding HF operation.
