Dual-band 144 / 430MHz FM mobile transceiver with 50W output, simultaneous VHF/VHF and UHF/UHF receive, a detachable controller and high-contrast black inverted LCD.
The Icom IC-2730E Black Screen Edition gives Icom's popular dual-band mobile transceiver a sharper, more modern appearance while retaining the functionality that has made the IC-2730E such a versatile mobile and base-station radio.
Its dual receive architecture allows VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF or VHF/UHF simultaneous reception, while independent volume, squelch and tuning controls for each side make operating two frequencies straightforward.
The IC-2730E delivers up to 50W on both 144MHz and 430MHz, with medium and low power settings of 15W and 5W. Wideband reception from 118-174MHz and 375-550MHz also opens up airband and a variety of other utility communications.
A detachable controller, multiple optional mounting arrangements and the supplied HM-207 remote-control microphone make the IC-2730E equally at home in a vehicle or fixed station.

VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF or VHF/UHF
Unlike many dual-band mobile radios, the IC-2730E can receive two frequencies within the same band simultaneously. That means you can monitor VHF/VHF and UHF/UHF as well as conventional VHF/UHF combinations.
The symmetrical front-panel layout provides individual tuning, volume and squelch controls for each side, helping the radio remain intuitive even when both receivers are active.
High-Contrast Inverted LCD
The large 91 × 27mm display presents frequencies and channel names clearly, while the Black Screen Edition's inverted LCD gives the IC-2730E a distinctive appearance with excellent contrast.
Full Power on VHF and UHF
The IC-2730E provides up to 50W RF output on both 144MHz and 430MHz. Medium and low settings of 15W and 5W allow output to be reduced when full power is not required.
Multiple Controller Mounting Options
The detachable controller makes the IC-2730E particularly easy to install where dashboard or console space is limited.
The optional MBF-1 suction cup base can be combined with the MBA-5 controller bracket for adjustable tilt and swivel mounting. Alternatively, the optional MBA-4 allows the controller to be attached directly to the main radio body.
Built-In CTCSS and DTCS
The IC-2730E includes 50 CTCSS tones and 104 DTCS codes for repeater access and quiet standby. Split-tone operation allows separate CTCSS or DTCS settings to be configured for repeater uplink and downlink on individual channels.
Receive from 118MHz to 550MHz
European IC-2730E models cover 118-174MHz and 375-550MHz on receive, with AM reception available for VHF airband alongside FM and narrow FM reception elsewhere within the supported ranges.
HM-207 Remote Microphone
The supplied HM-207 remote-control microphone gives quick access to commonly used radio functions without reaching for the controller.
HM-209 Noise-Cancelling Microphone
For operation in noisy environments, the optional HM-209 active noise-cancelling microphone can reduce unwanted background noise for clearer transmitted audio.
Free CS-2730 Programming Software
Icom's CS-2730 programming software is available as a free download, making it easier to manage memories and radio settings from a PC.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
