Icom ID-50E
Compact dual-band D-STAR and FM handheld with built-in GPS, USB Type-C, dualwatch, band scope with waterfall, picture sharing and IPX7 waterproof construction.
The Icom ID-50E is a compact VHF/UHF dual-band transceiver designed to complement the popular ID-52E and provide another highly capable option for D-STAR digital communication.
Alongside conventional FM operation, the ID-50E supports D-STAR Digital Voice, DR mode, Terminal mode and Access Point mode. Built-in GPS, picture sharing, text messaging and Near Repeater Search add useful connected features for digital operation.
A band scope with waterfall display helps identify active channels visually, while VHF/VHF, VHF/UHF and UHF/UHF dualwatch lets you monitor two frequencies at the same time.
USB Type-C charging and data, microSD storage, 750mW audio and IPX7 waterproofing make the ID-50E a versatile everyday D-STAR handheld.

Worldwide Communication Through D-STAR
The ID-50E supports conventional FM alongside D-STAR Digital Voice, allowing local simplex and repeater communication as well as regional and worldwide contacts through the D-STAR network.
Digital communication can include voice, text messages, GPS location information and pictures.
Easier D-STAR Repeater Operation
Icom's DR function simplifies D-STAR operation by letting you select your access repeater and destination. Combined with the built-in GPS receiver, the radio can help select an available local repeater based on your current location and also supports reflector linking controls.
Share Pictures During D-STAR QSOs
Pictures can be shared with other compatible users in DV mode. Photos can be prepared using Icom's ST-ID50A Android software or ST-ID50W Windows software, and images can be checked on the ID-50E display before transmission.
Build Your Own Internet Gateway
Where no suitable D-STAR repeater is available, the ID-50E can use Terminal or Access Point mode through an Internet-connected PC or compatible Android device.
These functions require the appropriate Icom software, a suitable USB Type-C cable, compatible D-STAR gateway software and an Internet connection with an IPv4 Global IP address.
Waterfall Display
The band scope and waterfall provide a visual overview of activity, helping you find active channels and clear frequencies.
Monitor Two Frequencies
VHF/VHF, VHF/UHF and UHF/UHF combinations can be monitored simultaneously. DV/DV cannot be monitored at the same time.
Position, Grid Square & Near Repeater Search
The built-in GPS receiver can display your position and current Grid Square, show distance to other stations and provide location data for Position Auto Reply, Near Repeater Search and GPS logging.
One Port, Multiple Functions
USB Type-C supports charging, PC programming, microSD card access, Terminal / Access Point operation and CI-V control. USB PD is not supported.
Store Logs, Audio & Settings
A microSD card up to 32GB can store QSO recordings, TX voice memories, pictures, QSO information, GPS logs, firmware, repeater lists and personal settings.
IPX7 Waterproof Construction
The ID-50E is rated IPX7, allowing it to withstand immersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes.
750mW Internal Speaker
The built-in speaker provides powerful 750mW audio output for clear receive audio.
BP-272 or BP-307
Operating time is approximately 8 hours with the supplied BP-272 or 12.5 hours with the optional BP-307 under the stated test conditions.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
