PAE KX-33
Compact, lightweight 14V DC switching power supply specifically designed for high-performance HF transceivers, with careful filtering and regulation to minimise RF interference.

The PAE KX-33 was designed to solve a very specific problem for portable HF operators: finding a small and lightweight mains power supply that does not compromise a sensitive radio station with unwanted RF noise.
Unlike general-purpose switching supplies, the KX-33 was developed specifically for communications equipment. Its switching topology, extensive filtering and carefully controlled output regulation are designed to minimise conducted and radiated RF interference, including common-mode currents that can become particularly troublesome when using temporary antennas such as end-feds and verticals.
The result is a genuinely portable supply capable of providing a nominal 14V DC at up to 4A continuously, with 5A thermally limited capability, making it suitable for many compact HF transceivers and equipment requiring 12-14V DC.

A Switching Supply Built with RF in Mind
Small switching power supplies are ideal for portable operation, but many general-purpose designs can introduce unwanted RF interference into a station. The KX-33 uses an innovative switching topology specifically intended to minimise RF emissions while maintaining high efficiency.
Extensive input and output filtering further reduces conducted and radiated RF, making the supply particularly useful with sensitive HF receivers and portable antenna systems where common-mode noise can otherwise become a problem.
Careful Voltage Regulation
The KX-33 was designed to minimise voltage variation caused by changing loads. Low voltage undershoot and overshoot during load transients help protect connected equipment while providing the stable supply required by modern communications radios.
Leave the Heavy Linear Supply at Home
Linear supplies can be exceptionally quiet, but a mains-powered linear supply capable of delivering around 4-5A at 14V is normally far too large and heavy for a genuinely portable station.
The KX-33 combines the size and weight advantages of a switching supply with an RF-conscious design intended specifically for radios such as the Elecraft KX-series, Icom IC-705 and other compact HF transceivers.

Up to 5A Output
With a nominal 14V output, 4A continuous capability and 5A thermally limited capacity, the KX-33 can power suitable communications equipment designed for 12-14V DC operation and conventional transceivers requiring up to approximately 20W RF output.
Tested for Voltage and RF Performance
In addition to factory testing, each KX-33 is checked for no-load and full-load voltage and RF spectral output before shipment.
Supplied by ML&S with a UK mains lead for convenient use from a standard UK mains outlet.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
