Compact automatic antenna tuner covering 1.8 to 54MHz with up to 120W RF handling on SSB/CW, straightforward front-panel operation and fully automatic or semi-automatic tuning.
During a tuning cycle, transmitter output must be reduced to between 5W and 15W.
The mAT-TUNER mAT-125S is a general-purpose automatic antenna tuner designed for use with virtually all brands and models of HF transceiver. Covering 1.8 to 54MHz, it provides a simple external tuning solution for HF and 6 metre operation.
The tuner supports a maximum RF input of 120W on SSB/CW and 30W when operating digital modes. A full tuning cycle typically takes less than five seconds.
Unlike radio-specific tuners that require a dedicated control interface, the mAT-125S uses the RF signal itself to perform tuning. This makes it a versatile option for stations using different makes and models of transceiver.
Covers the HF amateur bands through to 6 metres.
Rated for 120W SSB/CW operation and up to 30W on digital modes.
A full tuning cycle completes in less than five seconds under normal conditions.
Choose between automatic SWR-triggered tuning or manually initiated tuning.
Fully Automatic or Semi-Automatic Tuning
In Fully Automatic Mode, the mAT-125S can automatically begin a tuning cycle when the detected SWR exceeds 2.0, provided the TUNE/BYPASS switch is left in the TUNE position.
In Semi-Automatic Mode, tuning is initiated by moving the front-panel TUNE/BYPASS switch from BYPASS to TUNE while transmitting a suitable low-power carrier.
Simple, Direct Control
A series of LEDs provides a quick indication of the current SWR, while a separate PWR LED confirms the tuner's operating state.
Dedicated TUNE/BYPASS and ON/OFF switches provide direct control without requiring a radio-specific control cable.
Straightforward Station Integration
Separate ANT and RF IN UHF sockets connect the tuner between your transceiver and antenna feed line.
A ground terminal is provided for the station ground connection, while the DC input accepts 12 to 14V DC.
Set the transceiver to between 5W and 15W while performing a tuning cycle. Do not exceed 15W during tuning, as excessive tuning power may damage the tuner.

Automatic and Semi-Automatic Tuning
With the TUNE/BYPASS switch in TUNE, the mAT-125S automatically begins tuning when detected SWR exceeds 2.0.
Tuning begins when the operator moves the TUNE/BYPASS switch from BYPASS to TUNE while transmitting the required carrier.
Use a steady carrier in FM, CW or FSK at between 5W and 15W when tuning. Do not exceed 15W during a tuning cycle.
The mAT-125S is not waterproof. Protect the tuner from rain and moisture when using it in portable or outdoor installations.
