Advanced 6:3 antenna management for up to three transceivers, with shared amplifier or tuner operation, remote control and support for receive-only antennas.
The microHAM TRIO is an intelligent remote antenna switching system designed for demanding amateur radio stations where several transceivers, antennas and shared station accessories need to be managed efficiently.
TRIO can manage up to three transceivers and allows a power amplifier or antenna tuner to be shared between them. Up to six transmit/receive antennas and three receive-only antennas can be integrated into the station without repeatedly changing RF or control cabling.
With built-in band decoding, remote control, a web-based interface and extensive station integration options, TRIO provides a centralised solution for sophisticated multi-radio installations.
Manage antenna routing for up to three connected radios from one system.
Select between as many as six transmit and receive antennas.
Dedicated connections are provided for up to three receive-only antennas.
High-power switching suitable for demanding HF and VHF station installations.
Flexible Multi-Radio Antenna Management
TRIO provides flexible switching between six transmit/receive antennas and three receive-only antennas, allowing several radios to share a common antenna system without the need for manual RF cable changes.
Its 6:3 architecture makes it particularly useful for contest stations, DX stations, multi-radio installations and other operating environments where rapid, reliable antenna selection is essential.
Share a Power Amplifier or Antenna Tuner
In addition to antenna switching, the TRIO is designed to support the shared use of a power amplifier or antenna tuner between connected transceivers.
Integrated band decoding for each radio and band encoding for the amplifier or tuner helps automate station configuration as operating bands are changed.
Integrated Band and Station Control
The TRIO supports a wide range of station control methods, allowing it to integrate with modern and traditional transceivers and accessories.
- CI-V
- BCD
- UDP network control
- PTT
- ALC
- INHIBIT
- Integrated band decoding
- Band encoding for amplifier or tuner control
Simplified Remote Installation
A single CAT5 cable connects the TRIO controller to the remote antenna switch, helping simplify station wiring and reducing the number of control cables that need to be routed between the operating position and antenna switching location.
This is particularly useful where the antenna switching hardware is installed some distance from the radios.
Front Panel and Web-Based Control
The TRIO can be operated directly from its front panel using the built-in LCD display and buttons.
A web-based user interface also allows the system to be controlled from a PC, tablet or mobile device over a LAN connection or, when suitably configured, remotely via the Internet.
Expandable Antenna Control
TRIO supports up to four optional ARXC.REL modules, allowing additional antenna switches, receiving arrays and other remotely controlled station equipment to be integrated.
This provides considerable scope for expanding the station as antenna requirements become more complex.
High-Performance RF Switching
Designed for operation from 0.1 to 70MHz, the TRIO provides low insertion loss and high isolation between antenna paths.
Connections
- 3 x SO-239 transceiver connections
- 6 x SO-239 antenna connections
- 3 x F sockets for receive-only antennas
- 2 x SO-239 amplifier connections
