Windcamp ARK-1F Shield with RC-3
A purpose-built protective cage and antenna support system for the Yaesu FTX-1 Field, combining CNC-machined protection, folding stands, flexible mounting options and the Windcamp RC-3 antenna bracket in one complete package.
The Windcamp ARK-1F Shield is designed specifically around the Yaesu FTX-1 Field, providing a rigid external frame to help protect the transceiver during portable, field and transport use while retaining access to its controls and connections.
This package also includes the matching Windcamp RC-3 Antenna Support, which attaches directly to the Shield and provides dedicated external antenna mounting points, RF adaptor cables and a grounding connection for a more complete portable operating setup.
Protect the Radio Without Hiding It
The ARK-1F has been designed around the shape and mounting points of the FTX-1 Field rather than adapted from a generic equipment cage.
The sides, top and base provide substantial protection around the transceiver while leaving the front panel, controls and connection areas readily accessible.
Three-Point Radio Mounting
Three supplied screws secure the FTX-1 transceiver directly to the ARK-1F Shield, creating a secure portable assembly rather than simply placing the radio inside a loose frame.
Flexible contact surfaces are positioned between the FTX-1 and the Shield to provide a supported interface between the radio and the surrounding structure.
Bring the Antenna Connections onto the Shield
The included Windcamp RC-3 mounts directly to the side of the ARK-1F and adds two accessible antenna mounting points above the radio.
The two positions are marked for V/UHF and HF / 50MHz, providing a neat way to bring the radio's RF connections onto the protective frame for portable operation.
Two RF adaptor cables are supplied with the RC-3, together with the mounting and grounding hardware required for installation.
A Convenient Ground Connection
The RC-3 incorporates a dedicated grounding point on the side of the bracket, allowing a ground connection to be attached without having to improvise a fixing elsewhere on the radio or Shield.
A thumb ground screw, grounding U-type connector and heat-shrink tubing are supplied as part of the RC-3 hardware kit.
Integrated Folding Stands
Fold-out feet are integrated into the ARK-1F frame, allowing the radio to be raised and angled for easier viewing and operation without carrying a separate desktop stand.
When they are no longer required, the stands fold back into the Shield to maintain a compact footprint for transport and storage.
1/4-20 and M4 Mounting Points
The base includes a 1/4-20 threaded mounting point, allowing the ARK-1F to be attached to suitable tripods and mounting systems.
Additional M4 and 1/4-20 threaded holes around the frame provide useful fixing points for compatible accessories and custom portable-radio installations.
Retains Compatibility with Key Yaesu Accessories
The ARK-1F is designed to work with a number of the original Yaesu FTX-1 Field accessories.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
