Messi & Paoloni STEALTH-FLEX 7 /.300" is a rugged low-loss 50 ohm coaxial cable developed for installations where both RF performance and repeated physical handling matter.

Its distinctive construction uses a 19-strand copper centre conductor, physically foamed polyethylene dielectric, full copper foil screen and two separate reactive braids. This gives the cable excellent screening performance while helping it withstand repeated winding, unwinding and deployment in the field.

The outside is finished with a matte military green PVC jacket, helping the cable blend into grass, vegetation and other outdoor environments where a conventional black cable may be more visually obvious.

Twin Reactive Braid

Two separate 144-wire braids provide a durable outer conductor designed for repeated field deployment.

83% Velocity Factor

Low-loss construction with a triple-layer physically foamed polyethylene dielectric.

Greater Than 105dB Screening

Copper foil and twin braids provide excellent screening between 100MHz and 2000MHz.

Stealth Green Jacket

Matte military green PVC provides a discreet finish for portable and outdoor installations.

Designed for Repeated Field Deployment

M&P developed STEALTH-FLEX 7 around the mechanical demands of portable and field operation. The twin braid construction is intended to cope with the repeated winding and unwinding that a permanently installed cable would rarely experience.

The first braid provides approximately 83% coverage and the second approximately 80% coverage, with 144 copper-clad aluminium wires in each layer. Beneath them is a 100% copper foil screen with a protective PE layer.

This combination provides both mechanical reinforcement and excellent protection against unwanted electromagnetic interference while keeping the cable reasonably flexible.

Low-Visibility Green Jacket

The matte green outer jacket is not simply cosmetic. It is intended to make the cable less visually conspicuous when laid across grass, woodland or other outdoor terrain.

M&P positions STEALTH-FLEX 7 for demanding portable, tactical and professional communications applications where cable may need to be deployed some distance between the radio equipment and antenna.

Also Useful Closer to Home

The green jacket also makes STEALTH-FLEX 7 a very practical choice for amateur radio installations where coax needs to cross a garden without standing out visually.

Where STEALTH-FLEX 7 Works Best

Portable and Field Stations

Designed for cable that will be regularly deployed, recovered, coiled and transported.

Garden and Temporary Runs

Matte green jacket is considerably less visually intrusive than conventional black coax across lawns and vegetation.

High-Screening Installations

Twin braid and copper foil construction makes it particularly attractive where strong screening is a priority.

M&P Cable Length Guidance

M&P provides the following guidance for transmitting applications. These figures are recommendations for selecting a suitable cable size rather than absolute cable length limits.

Frequency Excellent Good Guidance
14MHz Up to 60m Up to 100m Consider larger coax above 100m
28MHz Up to 50m Up to 75m Consider larger coax above 75m
50MHz Up to 35m Up to 50m Consider larger coax above 50m
144MHz Up to 15m Up to 25m M&P recommends 10.3mm coax for longer runs
430MHz Up to 10m Up to 15m Consider larger coax above 15m
1296MHz - Up to 5m Consider larger coax above 5m
2400MHz - Up to 3m Consider larger coax above 3m

Cable Construction

  • 19 x 0.38mm stranded copper inner conductor
  • 1.9mm overall inner conductor diameter
  • Triple-layer physically foamed polyethylene dielectric
  • 100% copper foil screen with protective PE layer
  • First braid with 144 copper-clad aluminium wires and approximately 83% coverage
  • Second braid with 144 copper-clad aluminium wires and approximately 80% coverage
  • Matte military green PVC outer jacket
  • 7.65mm overall cable diameter
  • 83% velocity factor
Installation Note

STEALTH-FLEX 7 uses a PVC outer jacket. M&P does not specify this model as a direct-burial cable. For permanent underground installation, use a cable specifically designed and documented for direct burial.
