The RM Italy LA250V is a high-power VHF linear amplifier designed for operation across 140-150MHz, covering the 2m amateur VHF band. With an output power of up to 200W and an input drive range of 1-15W, 20W maximum, it is suitable for operators who require additional VHF power for SSB, CW, AM, FM and narrowband data modes.
The amplifier uses four Mitsubishi RD70HVF1 MOSFETs mounted on a copper heat spreader for efficient thermal transfer and reliable performance. It can be keyed via the external PTT input, or operated without a direct PTT connection using the built-in HF-VOX system.
The front panel LCD display provides useful live operating information, including input power, output power, heatsink temperature and output VSWR. The display backlight intensity can also be adjusted to suit the operating environment.
For protection and diagnostics, the internal CPU monitors input power, temperature and VSWR. If a fault condition is detected, the amplifier can automatically prevent transmission to protect the unit. Faults are also recorded for later recall and diagnostic use by the manufacturer or distributor.
Please note that a DC power cable is not included with this amplifier. The LA250V accepts DC wire with stripped ends, so no plug fitting is required. Any suitable twin DC cable may be used, and a compatible DC cable is available separately in the product accessories section.

Important Warranty Notice
Do not exceed the maximum input power. RM Italy do not repair amplifiers under warranty where the unit has been damaged by being overdriven, and repair charges can be expensive. If you are unsure whether this amplifier is suitable for your radio or setup, please contact us before use.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
