The PTRX7300MK2 is a dedicated high impedance RF signal probing module designed specifically for the Icom IC-7300MK2. It provides a clean and convenient RF output for connecting external SDR receivers, allowing IC-7300MK2 users to enjoy enhanced panadapter and SDR functionality without permanently modifying the radio.
The IC-7300MK2 is already a highly capable HF transceiver, but it does not include a dedicated RF output for use with external SDR receivers. For operators using software such as HDSDR, SDRuno, SDR Sharp, GNURadio, or receivers such as AirSpy, SDRplay, RTL-SDR, or HackRF, the PTRX7300MK2 provides a neat and technically advanced solution.
Building on the success of the original PTRX7300, the PTRX7300MK2 uses an active high impedance current feedback probing technique to sample the bidirectional TX and RX signal line of the IC-7300MK2. Unlike passive splitting methods, this avoids the typical 3 dB insertion loss and does not place a meaningful load on the radio signal path, helping to preserve the radio’s receive and transmit performance.
The PTRX7300MK2 is also designed to preserve external tuner functionality. It uses the external tuner cable connection for power and signal bypassing, allowing users to continue using their compatible external tuner. The unit draws only up to 30 mA from the 13.8 V DC tuner supply, so it does not interfere with normal tuner operation and does not require a separate power supply.
High quality components and carefully selected MCX connectors help maintain clean signal transfer with minimal distortion or attenuation. The result is a compact, purpose built upgrade for IC-7300MK2 owners who want SDR output capability without drilling, cutting, soldering, or making permanent changes to their transceiver.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
