HF Antenna Stacking & Switching

SO9I StackMatch 3x1

Split one transmitter or amplifier between up to three antennas, combine stacked arrays or instantly select a single antenna from the same high-power RF switching system.

Four Configurations Available

Choose between 2kW or 4kW power handling and either the 1.8-7MHz or 14-30MHz frequency-optimised version when ordering.

The SO9I StackMatch 3x1 is designed to route one transceiver or amplifier to one, two or three antennas simultaneously.

Its classic application is an antenna stack, where two or three identical antennas mounted at different heights are fed in phase. StackMatch divides the RF power equally between the selected outputs, allowing the complete array to be controlled from a single feed.

It is equally useful with different antennas or antennas pointing in different directions, giving contest and DX stations the ability to transmit in multiple directions at once without continually changing feedlines.

RF ROUTING
1, 2 or 3 Antennas

Choose the power-handling version to suit your station and amplifier system.
FREQUENCY
Two HF Versions
Frequency optimised for either 1.8-7MHz or 14-30MHz operation.
CONTROL
7 Combinations
All seven possible antenna selections are available through the D-Sub control interface.
How StackMatch Works

One Radio. Up to Three Antennas.

RF from your transceiver or power amplifier enters through the common input and is routed to the selected antenna outputs.

When two or three outputs are active, the transmitted power is divided equally between the selected antennas. When only one output is selected, the StackMatch operates as a conventional 3x1 antenna switch.

The system can therefore move seamlessly between a single antenna, paired antennas or a complete three-antenna stack.

Building a Traditional Antenna Stack?

When using two or three identical antennas as a phased stack, use identical feedline lengths between the StackMatch and each antenna to maintain the intended phase relationship between the antennas.

MANUAL CONTROL

StackMatch Controller

SO9I's separate StackMatch Controller provides straightforward manual selection using a rotary control with LEDs showing which antennas are active.

AUTOMATION

MOAS II Integration

For more advanced contest or multi-operator stations, StackMatch can also be integrated into the SO9I MOAS II station management system for automated antenna selection.

Controller Sold Separately

The StackMatch 3x1 is the RF switching unit. The separate StackMatch Controller is required for SO9I's dedicated manual control arrangement, or the unit can be integrated into a compatible automated control system such as MOAS II.

RF Construction

Designed for High-Power HF Stations

SO9I uses a reinforced copper layer on the internal PCB to reduce heating and improve reliability when handling high RF power.

Unused antenna outputs are automatically disconnected, while the selected combination is controlled through the rear 9-pin D-Sub connection.

The unit is housed in a durable black powder-coated enclosure and this ML&S configuration is supplied with UHF RF connectors.
