Call 0345 2300 599The REZ Antenna Systems CM7 Common Mode Feedline Choke is a compact inline 1:1 choke designed to help reduce common mode current on coaxial feedlines. Made in the USA, it uses seven mix-31 ferrite beads over flexible RG223/U double shielded coax, with an SO-239 female connector at one end and a PL-259 male connector at the other.
Common mode current travelling on the outside of coaxial cable can cause unwanted RF to return to the operating position, increase receive noise, affect tuning, and cause the coax itself to become part of the antenna system. Installing a suitable choke at the antenna feed point can help isolate the feedline and improve tuning consistency.
The CM7 is suitable for use with many popular antenna types, including EFHW antennas, dipoles, random wires and verticals. Simply install the choke at the feed point of the antenna, then connect your existing coaxial cable to the opposite end.
With a frequency range of 1.0 to 300MHz and a 300W power rating, the CM7 is a useful addition to portable, fixed and temporary antenna systems where improved feedline isolation is required.
