View the CX-10G 10GHz TransverterThe Icom IC-905 takes amateur radio operation far beyond the traditional HF and VHF bands, providing all-mode coverage across 144MHz, 430MHz, 1.2GHz, 2.4GHz and 5.6GHz from a single integrated station.
SSB, CW, AM, FM, RTTY, D-STAR DV and DD operation are supported, together with FM-ATV analogue television. Maximum output is 10W on 144MHz, 430MHz and 1.2GHz, with 2W available on 2.4GHz and 5.6GHz.
The IC-905 uses a separate controller and outdoor RF unit. Rather than running long lengths of lossy coaxial cable from the shack to the antenna, the RF unit can be installed close to the antenna itself, greatly reducing feed-line loss on microwave frequencies.
Add the optional CX-10G and the IC-905 can also operate on the 10GHz amateur band with up to 500mW output.

Put the RF Where It Matters
At microwave frequencies, long coaxial cable runs can introduce substantial signal loss. The IC-905 tackles this by separating the operating controller from the RF section.
The weather-resistant RF unit can be installed close to the antenna, keeping the RF feed line extremely short while digital communication between the controller and RF unit is carried over the controller cable.
Power Supplied Through the Controller Cable
DC power is supplied from the controller side to the outdoor RF unit through the controller cable. The optional CX-10G also receives its operating power from the IC-905 RF unit, reducing the amount of cabling required at the antenna location.
GPS-Controlled Oscillator
Frequency accuracy becomes increasingly important as operating frequency rises. The IC-905 combines an OCXO with the precise 1 PPS timing signal from its internal GPS/GNSS receiver to maintain frequency stability of better than ±65ppb.
Wideband 50MHz Span
The built-in spectrum scope and waterfall provide a visual overview of activity across an exceptionally wide span of up to 50MHz. Centre, Fixed and Scroll display modes are available to suit different styles of operation.
FM-ATV Transmit & Receive
The IC-905 supports analogue FM-ATV using NTSC, PAL or SECAM video. Connect a compatible analogue camera for live video transmission, while received video can be displayed using the composite video interface.
Selectable ATV audio subcarriers provide additional flexibility for amateur television operation.
Familiar Icom Touchscreen
The controller is based around the compact IC-705 design and uses Icom's familiar touchscreen interface, including a 4.3-inch colour display.
DV, DD, Terminal & Access Point
Full D-STAR functionality includes DV and DD operation, DR mode, Terminal mode, Access Point mode and picture sharing.
Icom CX-10G Transverter
Add the Icom CX-10G to extend the IC-905 onto the 10GHz amateur band.
The CX-10G converts between 10GHz and a 2.4GHz IF. When operating normally on the 2.4GHz band, the transverter operates in bypass mode.

If you have any equipment that needs to be returned to Martin Lynch & Sons, please fill out the form below:
Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
