Icom IC-F4400DT
A rugged, full-keypad UHF business radio combining IDAS digital communications with integrated GPS, active noise cancelling, voice recording, advanced safety functions and a high-resolution colour display.
The IC-F4400DT is the full numeric keypad version of Icom's professional F4400D UHF handheld platform. Designed for demanding commercial, industrial, security and operational environments, it combines analogue and digital communications with sophisticated voice, data, safety and fleet-management functions in a compact IP68-rated enclosure.

Unlike the simpler IC-F4400DS, the IC-F4400DT combines Icom's high-resolution transreflective colour LCD with a full numeric keypad. Menus, channels and status information remain easy to read in both natural and indoor lighting, while a dedicated night display mode is available for low-light environments.
Clearer speech in noisy environments
Active noise cancellation operates on transmitted and received audio to help reduce unwanted background noise and improve speech clarity.
Tailor audio to the operator
Selectable flat, high boost, mid boost, low boost and low-cut characteristics allow received and transmitted audio to be adjusted for different voices and operating environments.
Location information built into the radio
The integrated GPS receiver can provide position information with compatible voice and status calls and can be incorporated into suitable AVL fleet-location systems.
GPS position logging can store location data at regular intervals to an installed microSD card, while the radio can display direction and distance information for another radio or defined position.
Record and review radio traffic
Incoming and outgoing communications can be recorded to a microSD card and replayed either through the radio or on a computer. With a 32 GB card installed, Icom specifies up to approximately 500 hours of recording capacity.
Audio is stored in WAV format and, depending on configuration, additional information such as user ID, GPS position, frequency, audio volume and received signal strength can be embedded with the recording.

Integrated sensors and emergency functions allow the radio to form part of a wider worker-safety system.
Built for harsh working conditions
The IC-F4400DT is dust-tight and waterproof to IP68, with Icom specifying immersion at 1 metre depth for one hour. Its construction also meets MIL-STD-810G environmental testing requirements and equivalent earlier MIL-STD-810 standards.
Clear the speaker after water exposure
Icom's AquaQuake function uses low-frequency speaker vibration to help expel water from the speaker grille and restore clear audio after wet operation.
Digital and analogue operation
Depending on the ordered version, the IC-F4400DT supports either NXDN or dPMR digital operation alongside conventional analogue FM. Analogue and digital channels can be used within the same conventional radio system.

The IC-F4400DT is available in different digital protocol versions. NXDN and dPMR are not mutually compatible, and the radio's underlying digital protocol cannot be changed after purchase.

Wireless audio and data on equipped versions
IC-F4400DT versions equipped with Bluetooth support wireless audio, data and compatible wireless radio programming. Icom also offers versions without built-in Bluetooth, so Bluetooth availability depends on the exact radio specification supplied.
Programming and data transfer
The built-in USB connection supports PC data transfer and access to the installed microSD card in card-reader mode.
Recording and GPS logs
The microSD slot can store voice recordings and GPS logging data for later review and archiving.
DES standard, AES upgrade available
Four-key DES digital encryption is provided as standard. The optional UT-134 encryption unit supports expanded DES functionality, while 256-bit AES requires the UT-134 together with the appropriate ISL-AKAES activation key.
Compatible systems can also make use of OTAR, allowing encryption keys to be updated over the radio network when the required system components are installed.

Version Information
IC-F4400DT specifications can vary according to market, digital protocol and ordered configuration. Bluetooth is not fitted to every version.
NXDN and dPMR versions are separate products and their underlying radio protocol cannot be changed after purchase.
Supplied Equipment
Icom's manufacturer documentation lists the BP-303 battery pack and MB-133 belt clip as supplied accessories, but also states that supplied items may differ depending on transceiver version. Antenna and charging arrangements should therefore be confirmed against the exact ML&S package supplied.

Upon receipt of goods you have 14 days to return goods however the goods must be returned in original packaging and care must have been taken with the goods you wish to return. Under distance selling regulations you are not entitled to any refund on carriage charges or modification charges made at your request. Large items cannot be returned if they have been assembled, unless faulty.
Warranty Terms and Conditions
Outside of the 14 faulty return period, returned items cannot be accepted, unless covered by manufacturer's warranty. We will repair as much as possible on site however in exceptional circumstances products may have to be returned to the manufacturer of distributor.
For repairs/replacements under manufacturer’s warranty for any item please download a ML&S return form from the link above and return to ML&S with the faulty product.
International Warranty information
Warranty service for items we sell is available in the U.K. only, unless otherwise noted. It is your responsibility to pay freight for returned items to the U.K. and back to you for desired warranty coverage. All of our NEW products come with a minimum 12 month warranty, (Yaesu & Icom 24 months), with up to 90 days on second-hand equipment. Items returned for service must state "returned goods for repair" on the return air waybill or U.K. import customs duties apply and will be added to your invoice.
