Call 0345 2300 599The SO9I Controller 6x2 is designed to operate the SO9I 6x2 antenna switch, giving two radios independent manual antenna selection from the shack.
Two separate rotary knobs allow each radio to choose its own antenna independently. Red and green LEDs show in real time which antenna is currently connected to which radio, making it easy to see the live switching status at a glance.
Inside the controller, a safeguard prevents one radio from accidentally taking over an antenna that is already in use by the other. The controller uses a simple “first win” rule: whichever radio selects an antenna first holds it until it is released.
Connection to the switch is made via a D-Sub 9-pin output socket using a standard DB9 cable, so no specialised control cable is required.
Key Features
- Manual controller for SO9I 6x2 antenna switches
- Two independent rotary knobs
- Separate antenna selection for each of the two radios
- Red and green LEDs show the currently connected antennas
- “First win” safeguard prevents both radios selecting the same antenna
- D-Sub 9-pin output socket
- 12V DC power input
- 5.5/2.5mm DC power socket
- Compact desktop control unit for shack operation
How It Works
The Controller 6x2 connects to the antenna switch using a standard DB9 cable. Once connected and powered from 12V DC, each rotary selector is used to choose the required antenna position for its corresponding radio.
The red and green LED indication shows which antenna is connected to which radio, giving a clear visual check of the current switching state.
The built-in “first win” logic helps prevent accidental antenna conflicts by ensuring that an antenna already selected by one radio cannot be taken by the other until it is released.
